Privacy policy

This policy describes what Open Node Consulting, LLC collects on this website, why, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What you give us. When you submit a form we store what you typed: your name, email address, website, and whatever you tell us about your business. That is the only reason the forms exist.

What we record alongside it. When a form is submitted we also store the IP address it came from, the browser and device it was sent from, the page it was sent from, and, if you accepted the privacy prompt, where you arrived from (the referring site and any campaign tags in the link you clicked). We use this to tell which marketing is worth paying for. If you decline the prompt, none of it is recorded.

We do not track you around the site. There is no advertising pixel, no third-party analytics, and no cookie that follows you between sessions. The only browser storage we use is a single entry remembering how you found us, and your answer to the privacy prompt itself.

We do count visits. To know which pages are worth keeping we record how many times each page is viewed and roughly how many people viewed it. That count uses no cookie. Your address and browser are turned into a scrambled value using a key that changes every day, kept only so one person is not counted twice on the same day, and deleted after ninety days. It cannot be turned back into you, and it does not let us or anyone else follow one person from page to page. What we keep is totals.

What we do with it. We use your details to send the audit you asked for, to reply to you, and occasionally to send notes about marketing. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside Open Node Consulting, LLC.

Getting out. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and ask us to delete everything we hold on you. We will do it and confirm when it is done.

If that changes. If we ever add third-party analytics or advertising tools, this page is updated before they go live, and they will not run unless you accept the prompt.
